1st Vienna International Ignaz Anton Schuppanzigh Competition 2026 (Violin – Viola – String Quartet) The 1st Vienna International Ignaz Anton Schuppanzigh Competition 2026 invites talented young musicians from around the world to participate in this prestigious international event dedicated to violin, viola, and string quartet performance. Awards: Grand Prix Prize: €5,500 Main prizes: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place “Schuppanzigh Quartet Prize” Special Jury Prize Honorable Mentions Final Round The Final Round is planned to take place live in Vienna on 26 September 2026. Winner’s Concert: The 1st Prize winner in each category will have the opportunity to perform live at the prestigious Mozarthaus Vienna Concert Hall on 27 September 2026.
