Júlio Cardona International Music Competition

The second edition of the Júlio Cardona International Music Competition, promoted and organized by the Covilhã City Council, will take place from March 31 to April 04, 2027, and is open to musicians of all nationalities aged between 18 and 30. The competition categories are Cello, Horn, and Voice. The competition consists of three mandatory rounds: 1) Pre-selection, video submission: November 1 to 30, 2026; 2) Main round (8 contestants in each category): March 31 to April 2, 2027; 3) Final (3 competitors in each category): April 3, 2027.
