Male Choir Composition Competition - Prize pool of €30.000

Call for scores: Prize pool of €30.000! Sällskapet MM (Muntra Musikanter), Finland's second oldest active choir, is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2028 by launching an international composition competition. We are looking for new masterpieces for male choir that possess "classic potential"—works that could stand the test of time alongside legends like Sibelius, Kuula, and Palmgren. Why Participate? Total Prize Pool: €30,000. World Premiere: Selected compositions will be premiered at MM’s 150th Anniversary Concert in Helsinki in the autumn of 2028. Submission Criteria Ensemble: Male choir a cappella (TTBB), moderate difficulty. Duration: 2–6 minutes. Theme: "Responsibility" — exploring our role in the dialogue between generations, traditions, and the future. Eligibility: Open to all composers worldwide. Deadline: December 31, 2026.
