Capitol Hill Chorale's 2026 Choral Composition Competition

Greetings from the Capitol Hill Chorale in Washington, DC! To our fellow music students, educators, composers, and performers: the Capitol Hill Chorale is thrilled to announce our first Composition Competition. We're seeking new works from composers of all ages, backgrounds, and education levels for performance by our 100-voice SATB community choir. Our Artistic Director, Frederick Binkholder, and Composer-in-Residence, Kevin Siegfried, will judge the anonymized pieces to select one for our March 2027 concert, which is titled "Vox Populi: the Voice of the People". The winner will receive a cash prize and a travel stipend to attend the premiere of their piece.
