Soprano (coloratura)
A Russian coloratura soprano of international stature, Aigul Khismatullina has established herself as one of the most accomplished interpreters of the Queen of the Night, commanding the world's leading opera stages with crystalline virtuosity and dramatic presence.
Defining moments and milestones
A product of Russia's elite conservatory system, Khismatullina rose to international prominence through competition success and a fellowship at the Mariinsky Theatre, making her professional debut in 2018 in Stravinsky's *Le Rossignol*. Her 2019 victories at the Tenor Viñas Contest and the International Tchaikovsky Competition established her as a soprano of exceptional technical command and artistic maturity. Over the past five years, she has become the defining interpreter of Mozart's Queen of the Night on the world's leading stages, from Covent Garden to the Metropolitan Opera, while expanding her repertoire to encompass both classical and contemporary works.
