Andrew Ellis emerged from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama to establish himself as a lighting designer of considerable artistic range, working across ballet, contemporary dance, and musical theatre since 2008. His tenure with National Youth Ballet provided a foundation for an expanding practice that encompasses major West End productions and international tours, marked by a sophisticated understanding of how light shapes movement and narrative. By 2018, Ellis had secured recognition for his innovative work, winning the Broadway World UK Award for lighting design on the musical *Eugenius!* and establishing himself as a collaborator of choice for leading choreographers and companies across Europe and beyond.
