Actor
Ben Daniels is a distinguished British actor whose commanding presence and interpretive depth have made him a fixture of the National Theatre and a sought-after talent across stage, television, and film for four decades.
Defining moments and milestones
Ben Daniels trained at LAMDA and emerged as a significant stage talent in the early 1990s, earning an Olivier Award nomination for *Never the Sinner* before establishing himself as a cornerstone of the National Theatre repertory. His 2001 Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actor in *All My Sons* marked his ascendancy to the front rank of British theatre, a position he has maintained through landmark roles in Miller, Laclos, and Kramer, while simultaneously building a formidable television presence in prestige drama including *The Crown*, *House of Cards*, and *The Exorcist*. Now in his sixth decade, Daniels remains an active and sought-after interpreter of complex masculine roles, moving fluidly between the classical repertory and contemporary work.
