Trained in the exacting traditions of mime, baroque dance, and contemporary circus, Cécile Roussat emerged as a director and choreographer of distinctive vision, founding Shlemil Théâtre in 2007 and establishing herself as a major figure in Franco-European experimental theatre. Her productions—notably *Les Âmes nocturnes* and *Au Bonheur des Vivants*—synthesize historical movement vocabularies with contemporary emotional intensity, earning international recognition and multiple seasons at the Festival d'Avignon. Today, she stands as a singular artist whose work bridges the disciplines of mime, dance, design, and direction into cohesive theatrical statements of considerable sophistication and reach.
Co-founded Shlemil Théâtre (2007), which created *Les Âmes nocturnes*, a production that accumulated 220 performances across Europe and Asia over nine years and received the "Coup de cœur Arte/Sacd" at the Festival d'Avignon (2009-2015)
