Dolora Zajick is an American mezzo-soprano who was one of the preeminent dramatic mezzos of her generation. A mainstay at the Metropolitan Opera for decades, she was renowned for her powerful, darkly burnished voice. Her celebrated roles included Azucena in Il trovatore, Amneris in Aida, and Eboli in Don Carlo.
