Beginning his professional journey in Seattle's regional theatre ecosystem, Don Darryl Rivera built a reputation as a versatile performer and creator before originating the role of Iago in the pre-Broadway tryout of Disney's Aladdin at the 5th Avenue Theatre in 2013. His virtuosic performance—combining vocal agility, physical comedy, and emotional depth—transferred to Broadway in 2014, where it became a career-defining role sustained across multiple productions and international runs.
