Mezzo-soprano (dramatic)
Emanuela Pascu transitioned from piano to voice at the National University of Music in Bucharest, where she developed a powerful dramatic mezzo-soprano capable of commanding both lyric and heavier roles. Her 2012 professional debut as Carmen at the National Opera of Bucharest initiated a swift trajectory through Europe's major opera houses, accelerated by her fellowship at the Académie de l'Opéra National de Paris and mentorship under Anita Rachvelishvili. Today, she performs regularly across the continent's leading venues—from Frankfurt Opera to the Royal Danish Opera—in signature roles including Amneris, Princess Eboli, and Ježibaba, establishing herself as a distinctive voice in the dramatic mezzo repertoire.
