Beggi's unlikely transition from prize-winning bassoonist to operatic bass began in 2009, when he commenced vocal studies while maintaining instrumental credentials. His professional operatic debut came in 2011 with Donizetti's *Il Campanello* at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, followed by a breakthrough victory at the Toti Dal Monte International Singing Competition in 2012, which established him as a rising talent in the Italian opera circuit. Over the subsequent decade, he has become a fixture at major European opera houses, from Milan's La Scala to London's Royal Opera House, building a repertoire that showcases his versatility across comic and dramatic bass roles.
Winner of the Toti Dal Monte International Singing Competition in Treviso, subsequently performing the role of Geronimo in Cimarosa's *Il matrimonio segreto* (2012)
