Gil Roman rose through the ranks of Maurice Béjart's companies as a principal dancer of rare interpretive gifts, becoming the Belgian choreographer's most trusted artistic collaborator over decades of creative partnership. His performances—marked by technical mastery and emotional transparency—made him an ideal vessel for Béjart's philosophically complex and sensually charged choreography.
