Soprano (lyric coloratura)
South Korean soprano Hera Hyesang Park commands the lyric coloratura repertoire with crystalline purity and theatrical intelligence, establishing herself as a rising interpreter of Mozart and Rossini across Europe's leading opera houses.
Defining moments and milestones
Park emerged from Seoul National University and Juilliard's prestigious opera program to win second prize at Operalia in 2015, launching her into the Lindemann Young Artist Program and a Metropolitan Opera debut as the First Wood Sprite in *Rusalka* in 2017. Over the ensuing years, she has become a fixture in the lyric soprano repertoire across Europe's leading houses—Glyndebourne, Bayerische Staatsoper, the Opéra de Paris, and beyond—establishing herself as a radiant, vocally secure interpreter of Mozart, Rossini, and the bel canto canon. Her 2020 exclusive recording contract with Deutsche Grammophon and the 2024 Opus Klassik Award for *Breathe* have solidified her status as both a stage artist and a significant voice on disc.
