Principal Dancer
An American principal dancer of radiant technique and extraordinary versatility, Isabella Boylston has become one of American Ballet Theatre's most celebrated interpreters of the classical and contemporary repertoire.
Defining moments and milestones
Beginning at age three, Boylston progressed from Boulder's regional ballet schools to the HARID Conservatory, where her artistry and technical precision earned her the Reuger Scholarship. She made her professional debut with the ABT Studio Company in 2005, advancing to apprentice status in 2006 and the corps de ballet in 2007, before ascending through soloist ranks to achieve Principal Dancer status in 2014. Over nearly two decades with American Ballet Theatre, she has become one of the company's most versatile and dramatically compelling dancers, commanding the full classical repertoire while creating roles in contemporary works by Ratmansky and other leading choreographers.
