Jennifer Simard's career began in 1993 with *Forbidden Broadway '93*, where she developed her comedic sensibility under Gerard Alessandrini's direction, before making her Broadway debut in 2007 as Rona Lisa Peretti in *The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee*. Over the following decade, she built a reputation as a dependable ensemble performer and understudy, appearing in *Shrek The Musical*, *Sister Act*, and *Mean Girls*, while her breakthrough came in 2016 with a Tony nomination for her scene-stealing role as Sister Mary Downey in *Disaster!*. Since then, Simard has become a fixture in major Broadway productions, earning subsequent Tony nominations for her work in the 2020 revival of *Company* and the 2024 production of *Death Becomes Her*, establishing herself as one of the theatre's most skilled character actresses.
