Soprano
Signature Roles
Beginning as a professional singer at fourteen, Judy Blazer trained rigorously at the Manhattan School of Music and the Conservatory of Naples before making her Broadway debut in *Me and My Girl* in the 1980s. Over four decades, she has deliberately cultivated a multifaceted career spanning opera (New York City Opera), musical theatre (notably *Titanic*, *A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder*, and *Lovemusik*), and straight theatre, while establishing herself as a respected voice teacher and dialect coach at NYU and beyond. Her founding of The Artist's Crossing in 2004 and her consistent recognition—including a 1994 Drama Desk nomination and the 2010 Manhattan School of Music Distinguished Alumni Award—reflect an artist whose influence extends as deeply into pedagogy and institutional building as into performance.
