France
Julien Lubek abandoned a conventional path through France's elite business and political schools to pursue a multidisciplinary performance practice rooted in mime, circus arts, and experimental theatre. Beginning his professional work in 2004 with collaborator Cécile Roussat, he developed a distinctive theatrical language that fuses physical virtuosity with poetic visual storytelling, establishing himself as a major voice in contemporary French theatre through the founding and artistic leadership of Compagnie Les Âmes Nocturnes. His work has been recognized at major international festivals, including the Festival d'Avignon, positioning him as an essential figure in European experimental performance.
Co-founded Compagnie Les Âmes Nocturnes and premiered the company's signature production at the International Mime Festival in Israel, subsequently selected for the Festival d'Avignon (2009)
