Katarina Dalayman is a Swedish former soprano who has transitioned into a mezzosoprano. She has received critical acclaim singing major operatic roles by composers such as Wagner, Berg, Shostakovich and Bartók, among others. In a 2005 interview, she commented that Wagner's music "[has] always been closest to my heart, always, since I started singing".

Her career has been anchored by appearances in complete Ring cycles at the Metropolitan Opera, Opéra National de Paris, La Scala, and Bayreuth Festival, where she has sung Brünnhilde, Isolde, and Kundry with vocal power and dramatic conviction. Recognized by the Swedish Crown in 2000 as a Court Singer, she represents the highest achievement of Nordic operatic artistry.
