Tenor (lyric)
Signature Roles
Manuel Günther emerged from rigorous conservatory training in Dresden to establish himself as a lyric tenor of intelligence and vocal refinement, shaped by apprenticeships at Hamburg and Salzburg. His interpretations of Mozart's lighter tenor roles and his distinctive work in Strauss's comedic tenor parts have built a reputation across German opera houses and, increasingly, in Italian venues. With a career spanning nearly two decades of steady artistic development, Günther represents the contemporary German lyric tenor tradition at mid-career maturity.
Winner of the 20th Internationalen Gesangswettbewerb der Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg (2010)
