From his selection by Rudolf Nureyev at age twelve to his emergence as principal dancer with London Festival Ballet at seventeen, Nigel Burgoine established himself as a classical virtuoso of considerable range and artistry. Following his performing career, he transitioned seamlessly into artistic direction and choreography, leading ballet companies across Europe and North America—most notably as founder and Artistic Director of Ballet Theatre of Toledo, where he has created an original repertoire while maintaining rigorous classical standards.
