Defining moments and milestones
Trained in the rigorous Vaganova tradition at the Bolshoi Ballet School, Semionova made her professional debut in 2002 at Berlin State Ballet, where she became the youngest principal in the company's history. Over the ensuing two decades, she has danced the great classical roles—Odette/Odile, Aurora, Giselle, Nikiya—across the world's premier companies, including American Ballet Theatre, Maryinsky Ballet, and Bolshoi Ballet, earning recognition as one of the finest classical ballerinas of her era.
