Renée Elise Goldsberry is an American actress and singer. Known for her roles on stage and screen she has received a Tony Award, a Drama Desk Award, and a Grammy Award as well as a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award.

From her 1997 debut in the national tour of Dreamgirls through her breakthrough as a replacement Nala in The Lion King, Goldsberry established herself as a versatile musical theatre performer with a powerhouse mezzo-soprano voice.
