Roman Zhurbin

Career Trajectory

Zhurbin discovered ballet at fifteen and rapidly progressed through New York's premier training institutions, joining American Ballet Theatre's developmental programs in 2003 and the company itself as an apprentice in 2004. Over two decades of consistent performance at the David H. Koch Theater and beyond, he has become a Principal Dancer distinguished by his dramatic intensity and nuanced characterization, particularly in roles demanding psychological depth. Today, he balances an active performing career with faculty responsibilities at ABT's training programs, mentoring the next generation of dancers.
