Rufus Hound transitioned from corporate public relations to stand-up comedy in 2000, adopting his stage name at the Edinburgh Festival and building a reputation as a sharp observational comedian. His television presence expanded through hosting roles on *Top of the Pops* and *Destination Three*, while his dancing ability earned him victories on *Let's Dance for Sport Relief* (2010) and the *Strictly Come Dancing* Christmas special (2013). His theatrical breakthrough came with Francis Henshall in the National Theatre's touring production of *One Man, Two Guvnors*, which transferred to the West End in 2013, establishing him as a capable dramatic actor alongside his comedy credentials.
