Sir Rufus John Norris is a British theatre and film director, who was the artistic director and chief executive of the National Theatre from 2015 to 2025. He received the Society of London Theatre Special Award in 2025 for his services to theatre.

Rufus Norris trained as an actor at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art before pivoting to directing, where he discovered his true vocation under the mentorship of Brian Astbury.
