Mezzo-soprano
Signature Roles
Emerging from the Alpine musical tradition of Bolzano, Sabina Willeit established herself as a mezzo-soprano of exceptional versatility through victory in the As.li.co. competition in Milan in 2001, a breakthrough that led to her significant tenure at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe (2008–2011), where she notably performed all four mezzo roles across Wagner's Ring cycle in a single Easter Week. Her career has been defined by an extraordinary range spanning Mozart and Rossini through Wagner, Verdi, and contemporary works, performing at major European opera houses and concert venues while maintaining a distinguished parallel career as a concert artist and champion of contemporary vocal literature.
