Stéphane Bullion entered the Paris Opéra Ballet School at fourteen and spent two decades ascending its ranks with methodical artistry, progressing from corps de ballet in 1997 through coryphée, sujet, and premier danseur before achieving the rank of Étoile in 2010. A dancer of technical command and interpretive sophistication, he distinguished himself across classical, neoclassical, and contemporary repertoire—from Nureyev and Grigorovich to Balanchine and Neumeier—while overcoming significant personal challenges with institutional support. Upon his retirement in 2022, he transitioned to teaching at the school where he trained and to photography, extending his artistic practice beyond the stage.
