Beginning his dance education at seven in Matsuyama, Taisuke Nakao distinguished himself early, winning a Prix de Lausanne scholarship in 2017 that secured his place at The Royal Ballet School. His entry into The Royal Ballet's professional ranks through the Aud Jebsen Young Dancers Programme in 2018 marked the beginning of a steady ascent, culminating in his promotion to Soloist in 2023. Today, he commands a diverse repertoire spanning the classical canon—from Ashton's *The Dream* to the demanding Benno variation in *Swan Lake*—while embracing contemporary commissions that showcase his interpretive depth.
