Ted Huffman is an American opera and theatre director and librettist, based in London. He is particularly associated with contemporary opera and music theatre and with his long-term collaboration with the British composer Philip Venables. Together they have created works including 4.48 Psychosis (2016), Denis & Katya (2019), The Faggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions (2023) and We Are The Lucky Ones (2025). In 2026 he is due to become General Director of the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence.
