Career Trajectory

Chaillet trained rigorously in the French classical tradition before joining the Paris Opera Ballet's corps de ballet in 2002, where he would spend sixteen formative years ascending to the rank of Premier danseur. His interpretations of the classical repertoire—particularly in Nureyev's stagings—were matched by an exceptional facility for contemporary work, earning him a Prix Benois de la Danse nomination in 2011 for his performance in Trisha Brown's *O Zlozony / O Composite*. Since 2018, he has transitioned into maître de ballet and artistic direction roles, establishing himself as a bridge between classical tradition and modernist innovation across major European ballet institutions.
