Lantratov emerged from the Moscow Choreographic Academy in 2006 to join the Bolshoi Ballet, where he quickly distinguished himself through his combination of technical mastery and dramatic fearlessness. Over nearly two decades, he has become the company's go-to interpreter for roles demanding both classical refinement and psychological complexity—from the romantic princes of the nineteenth-century canon to the revolutionary heroes of Soviet-era ballets and the psychologically fractured characters of contemporary works. His 2018 Benois de la Danse Award for his portrayal of Rudolf Nureyev stands as testament to his status as one of Russia's finest male dancers and a major international artist.
