A Basque tenor whose formative years in Spain's music academies were crystallized by selection to the Accademia Rossiniana in 2016, Anduaga emerged as a bel canto specialist of uncommon refinement, winning the Operalia Competition in 2019 and the International Opera Award in 2021. His rapid ascent through Europe's leading opera houses—from Vienna to Paris to Hamburg—culminated in a Metropolitan Opera debut in 2023 that confirmed his standing as one of the most accomplished lyric tenors of his generation.
