A French-born Spanish principal dancer with The Royal Ballet, Zenaida Yanowsky commanded the classical and contemporary repertoire with luminous technique before transitioning to coaching and répétiteur work.
Yanowsky rose through the ranks of The Royal Ballet to achieve Principal Dancer status, where she distinguished herself through her technical precision and interpretive range across classical and contemporary repertoire. Her performance career encompassed leading roles in both the nineteenth-century canon and cutting-edge contemporary works, establishing her as a dancer of unusual versatility. Since retiring from the stage, she has dedicated herself to coaching and répétiteur work, becoming a custodian of Royal Ballet tradition.
