The Ahmanson Theatre has anchored the Los Angeles Music Center since 1967, serving as the city's premier house for large-scale touring productions and pre-Broadway engagements. With over two thousand seats, its generous proscenium stage accommodates the most ambitious musicals and dramas traversing the country. The venue has hosted landmark runs and world premieres that shaped the national theatrical landscape, making it an essential stop on the American touring circuit and a cultural cornerstone of downtown Los Angeles.

Acoustics, seating, and what to expect
The theatre underwent acoustic enhancements in the early 1990s and further improvements in 2010 including proscenium widening, demonstrating a commitment to sound quality, though specific critical assessments are not available.
Orchestra and Mezzanine sections offer the best combination of proximity and sightlines following 1990s renovations. Balcony seats provide more economical options, though extreme side seats and the furthest back rows may offer more distant perspectives.
