One of Britain's great ballet companies, Birmingham Royal Ballet traces its origins to 1946 as the touring arm of The Royal Ballet before establishing its independent identity in Birmingham in 1990. The company performs at the Birmingham Hippodrome and tours extensively throughout the United Kingdom, bringing classical and contemporary ballet to audiences far beyond London. Under artistic directors including Sir Peter Wright and Carlos Acosta, BRB has built a distinctive identity rooted in narrative ballet, theatrical flair, and an unwavering commitment to accessibility.

Acoustics, seating, and what to expect
The Birmingham Hippodrome has a positive reputation for acoustics, with patrons noting excellent sound quality. The venue has undergone significant refurbishments throughout its history that would have included acoustic considerations.
Main Floor Premium Tables and Front Row A of the upper level are highly recommended. Stalls G12 specifically offers an unobstructed view, ample legroom, and excellent sound quality, with the added benefit of proximity to cast member aisles.
