LA Opera is the largest performing arts organization on the West Coast dedicated exclusively to opera. Resident at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion since its founding in 1986, the company has built an international reputation under the leadership of Plácido Domingo, who served as general director for over a decade. Its programming ranges from grand-scale traditional productions to boundary-pushing contemporary works and innovative community initiatives like its acclaimed Off Grand series. LA Opera brings world-class vocal artistry to one of the planet's great entertainment capitals.

Acoustics, seating, and what to expect
The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion was designed by leading acousticians of its era, but the venue is known to have acoustically inconsistent areas that can affect sound clarity in certain sections.
Orchestra and Front Loge sections closest to the stage offer the most premium views and optimal sound quality. Avoid rear sections and far side seats where acoustic performance is less consistent.
