The Music Box Theatre is one of Broadway's loveliest intimate houses, built in 1921 by composer Irving Berlin and producer Sam H. Harris specifically for their Music Box Revues. Its 1,009-seat auditorium is widely regarded as having among the finest acoustics on Broadway and has been home to numerous Pulitzer Prize-winning plays.
Acoustics, seating, and what to expect
The theatre's intimate scale and cozy atmosphere are well-suited to both dramas and musicals, though specific acoustic characteristics are not extensively documented.
Center Orchestra rows E-L provide excellent, detailed views with ideal sightlines. Row A in the Center Mezzanine offers a premium elevated perspective. Avoid front-most Orchestra rows (A-B) which may require looking upward, and extreme side seats in the Orchestra which present angled views.
