The main entrance faces Sechseläutenplatz directly; arrive via the square for the full architectural impact. The building's neoclassical façade is best appreciated from the plaza itself.

The foyer and bar areas can become crowded during intermission, particularly on popular productions. Arrive early to secure a spot at the bar or in the seating areas. The intimate 1,100-seat capacity means the entire audience is in close quarters—expect congestion but also the convivial atmosphere of a house where regulars recognize one another.

Public Transit

Opernhaus tram stop (lines 2, 8, 9) is directly adjacent to the venue. Zurich Hauptbahnhof (main railway station) is approximately 10 minutes on foot via Bahnhofstrasse. For ride-share drop-off, request Sechseläutenplatz; the plaza accommodates vehicle access.

Parking

Street parking is limited on Sechseläutenplatz. The nearest public parking garage is the Parkhaus Opernhaus (approximately 2-minute walk). Typical cost: CHF 3–4 per hour. Alternatively, the Bahnhofstrasse area offers paid parking within a 5-minute walk.
