Pasadena Playhouse is the official State Theatre of California, founded in 1917 and housed in a beautiful Spanish Colonial Revival building that has been a cradle of American theatrical talent for over a century. Luminaries from Gene Hackman to Dustin Hoffman studied at its legendary school, and the Playhouse continues to produce an ambitious season of classic and contemporary works in its 680-seat main stage.
