Peabody Auditorium

The Peabody Auditorium stands as a cultural cornerstone of Daytona Beach, its storied legacy spanning over a century of world-class performances. Founded by businessman Simon J. Peabody in 1919, the original venue was tragically destroyed by fire in 1946, only to be rebuilt with fireproof construction and reopened in 1949 with an inaugural performance by the U.S. Navy Band. The current 2,521-seat auditorium has hosted an extraordinary roster of luminaries—from Sergei Rachmaninoff and Frank Sinatra to Elvis Presley and B.B. King—alongside prestigious Broadway productions and served as the summer home for the London Symphony Orchestra for four decades. Renowned for its exceptional acoustics and sightlines, the venue underwent comprehensive renovations in the 1980s and again in 2020 with state-of-the-art sound systems.
