Portland Opera has been Oregon's premier opera company since its founding in 1964, presenting a season of grand opera and contemporary works that reflects the creative spirit of the Pacific Northwest. The company performs at the Keller Auditorium, a 2,992-seat hall in downtown Portland's cultural corridor, and has expanded its programming with the innovative Big Night concert series and community-based productions. Keller Auditorium is renowned for excellent acoustics with good sound quality throughout most seating areas. Balance between orchestra and singers can vary by seat location and stage position.
Best Seats
At Keller Auditorium, Orchestra sections B-D in rows C-G offer the ideal balance of sightlines and acoustics. For intimacy, rows 5-10 in sections A or B provide proximity without neck strain. Balcony sections B-D offer excellent value with strong sightlines.
