Seoul Arts Center is the largest cultural complex in South Korea, located in the Seocho district at the foot of Umyeonsan mountain. Opened in stages from 1988, it houses an opera house, concert hall, and multiple galleries and theatres that together form the heart of South Korea's performing arts landscape. The complex hosts the Korean National Opera and Korean National Ballet among its many resident companies.
