One of Broadway's grandest houses, the St. James has been the birthplace of landmark American musicals including the original Oklahoma! and The Producers. Its elegant interior and prime 44th Street location make it one of the most sought-after theatres on the Rialto.

Acoustics, seating, and what to expect
The St. James Theatre is generally regarded as having good acoustics, particularly in the Orchestra section which provides an immersive sound experience due to proximity, and the Mezzanine which offers clear acoustics. Renovations in 1958, 1985, and a restoration in 1999 helped maintain the auditory experience.
Orchestra rows F-M in the center section offer the ideal balance of proximity and sightlines, with rows B-M particularly praised for intimate viewing. Mezzanine Row A Center provides exceptional sweeping views at mid-range prices. Avoid Orchestra seats A106-109 and far sides due to conductor's box obstruction and partial views.
