Stranahan Theater

The Stranahan, originally opened in 1969 as the Masonic Auditorium, stands as Northwest Ohio's largest proscenium stage theater with a 2,424-seat capacity. Acquired by the Stranahan family in 1994 and now operated by the Stranahan Theater Trust as a non-profit institution, the venue has become a cultural cornerstone of Toledo. It hosts 170–200 diverse events annually, from Broadway touring productions like *The Phantom of the Opera* and *Wicked* to performances by resident companies including the Toledo Symphony Orchestra and Toledo Ballet. Recent 2025 renovations—including rebranding, auditorium upgrades, and the addition of the TS Lounge—have enhanced the patron experience while preserving the venue's architectural legacy. The theater's intimate yet grand atmosphere makes each visit a sophisticated occasion.
