Théâtre de la Ville

The Theatre de la Ville is one of Paris's most important venues for contemporary dance and international theatre, founded in its current form in 1968 under the visionary direction of Jean Mercure. Located on the Place du Chatelet across from the Theatre du Chatelet, it has been the Parisian home of Pina Bausch's Tanztheater Wuppertal and a primary platform for the world's most important contemporary dance artists.
