In an enchanted forest near Athens, fairy king Oberon quarrels with queen Titania, while two pairs of young lovers stumble through the woods in a tangle of misplaced affections. Oberon's mischievous servant Puck administers a magic flower juice that causes hilariously wrong romantic pairings. By dawn, the enchantments are sorted, the lovers properly matched, and the court celebrates with a grand wedding divertissement.
