In a charming village square, the young peasant Franz becomes captivated by the mysterious Coppélia, a beautiful doll who sits motionless in the window of the eccentric inventor Dr. Coppélius. Convinced that Coppélia is a real girl, Franz neglects his beloved Swanilda, a spirited village maiden who is determined to win back his affections. Swanilda's jealousy drives her to investigate the inventor's workshop, where she discovers the truth: Coppélia is merely an elaborate mechanical doll. In a clever deception, Swanilda takes Coppélia's place, fooling both Franz and Dr. Coppélius. The inventor attempts to transfer Swanilda's life force into the doll through dark magic, but the ruse is exposed. Ultimately, Franz recognizes his true love, and Swanilda's devotion triumphs. The ballet concludes with joyous celebration as the young couple is united, their wedding festivities bringing the entire village together in festive harmony.
