The eccentric knight Don Quixote and his faithful squire Sancho Panza set out on their adventures, crossing paths with the spirited Kitri and the barber Basilio, who are in love despite Kitri's father wanting her to marry the wealthy Gamache. Don Quixote mistakes a windmill for a giant and dreams of his ideal lady Dulcinea, while Kitri and Basilio use clever tricks to outwit her father and win his blessing.
