Synopsis
The dreamer and fantasist Peer Gynt abandons his faithful Solveig to pursue adventures across the world, from encounters with trolls in the Norwegian mountains to trading in slaves and idols abroad. Through decades of self-deception and escapism, Peer avoids confronting who he truly is. In old age, he returns home to find Solveig still waiting, her steadfast love offering his only hope of redemption.
